We are a non-profit organization with a goal of advancing East Africa – primarily South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Kenya – through education and technology.
Goals and Connections
East African Community Development is seeking cooperation and financial support to set in motion the beginning of development in East Africa on a grand scale. We want to develop leadership and information structures to provide more accessible and higher degrees of education; introduction to industry; and goods & services with an overall more sustainable growth in the Gambella, Ethiopia region and through East Africa.
We have an 18 year working relationship directly with the South Sudanese Nuer people. In 2003 we (Sudan Hope – Stephen and Les) released the Boat of Hope that launched our first initiative into the Gambella Region. It provided the people of South Sudan Upper Nile access to secure food, shelter, medicine, clothing, and clean weather. We believe that it supplied over 250,000 people with life-saving supplies and encouragement.
